NIRVYN public document
Account Deletion Policy
This policy explains how NIRVYN account deletion works inside the app, including the 30-day grace period, cancellation option, permanent deletion, and limited safety retention.
1. Purpose
This policy explains how users can request deletion of a NIRVYN account and what happens before, during, and after deletion. NIRVYN is designed to handle account deletion inside the app wherever possible.
2. Who This Applies To
This policy applies to registered users, former users during an active deletion grace period, and authorized users who request deletion of their NIRVYN Core Account, including Social, Dating, Blind Dating, and Random Chat data connected to that account.
3. How To Request Deletion
Users can request full account deletion inside NIRVYN from Privacy & Security. Where available, users may also contact support@nirvyn.app or privacy@nirvyn.app for deletion help, especially if they cannot access the account.
4. Before You Confirm
Before a deletion request is submitted, the app explains that deletion starts a 30-day grace period. Users must type DELETE to confirm. This reduces accidental deletion and gives users a clear chance to understand the consequences.
5. 30-Day Grace Period
After confirmation, the account enters a 30-day grace period. During this period the account is deactivated, hidden from normal use, and unavailable in Social, Dating, Blind Dating, and Random Chat. New activity is not allowed while the deletion request is pending.
6. Cancelling A Deletion Request
If deletion was accidental or the user changes their mind, the deletion request may be cancelled during the 30-day grace period by signing in again and choosing Cancel Deletion Request. NIRVYN may require identity or account verification where necessary.
7. Permanent Deletion After Grace Period
If the deletion request is not cancelled during the grace period, permanent deletion can begin after the 30th day. NIRVYN then removes or anonymizes visible account data and deletes connected account areas where reasonably possible.
8. What Is Generally Removed
Permanent deletion generally covers the Core Account, Social profile, Dating profiles, Random Chat data, posts, reels, stories, comments, reactions, circles, profile visibility, notification tokens, zone preferences, waitlist records linked to the account, and other account-linked records where deletion is technically and legally possible.
9. Data That May Be Retained
Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, moderation, legal compliance, payment records, audits, dispute resolution, security, backups, or enforcement of NIRVYN policies. Retained records may be minimized, hashed, anonymized, or separated from the active account where appropriate.
10. Content In Other Users' Spaces
Some content may remain where it is part of another user's conversation, report, moderation record, safety record, legal record, or group context. Where possible, NIRVYN removes or anonymizes deleted-account identifiers while preserving records needed for safety and legal reasons.
11. Zone-Level Deletion
Users may delete certain zone data, such as Dating or Random Chat data, without deleting the full Core Account where the app provides that option. Zone-level deletion is separate from full account deletion and may not remove data required for safety, legal, or anti-abuse purposes. Support: support@nirvyn.app.
12. Contacts
For deletion help, contact support@nirvyn.app or privacy@nirvyn.app. Formal grievances may be sent to grievance@nirvyn.app. Child safety or abuse concerns may be sent to childsafety@nirvyn.app or abuse@nirvyn.app.
External Account Deletion Request
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion from outside the app by emailing privacy@nirvyn.app or support@nirvyn.app with the subject "Account deletion request". Include the registered email or mobile number, username if known, and a short statement that you want to delete your NIRVYN account. NIRVYN may ask for verification before acting on the request.
